A&K Training Facility, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, provides career training programs with a focus on helping individuals from diverse backgrounds build solid futures. Established in 2010, the school aims to provide the trucking industry with well-trained and reliable student drivers. They offer Commercial Driver's License (CDL) programs for Class A and Class B licenses. A&K Training Facility believes in second chances and offers a supportive environment for students to grow and succeed. The facility's curriculum provides students with the essential knowledge and practical skills to become qualified professional commercial drivers. The instructors are industry-certified and experienced professionals dedicated to student success. A&K Training Facility encourages students to be familiar with basic computer skills and internet usage. To enroll, applicants must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid North Carolina Driver's License, proof of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, a certified Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) from the DMV, and a copy of their Social Security Card. They must also undergo a DOT Physical Examination and drug screening. A&K Training Facility is not a Title IV school and is not eligible for FAFSA funding but may assist students in finding other funding options. They also offer a CDL Class B Refresher course for seasoned drivers who need to update their skills to renew their license. This course is five weeks long and includes 85 hours of combined classroom and driving instruction.
