Ancora Education partners with Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina, to provide CDL training. The CDL program blends classroom learning with behind-the-wheel experience, preparing students for the CDL skills test. Experienced instructors, who provide insights into the commercial vehicle driving industry, lead small class sizes. Midlands Technical College is dedicated to equipping adult learners with the tools to thrive professionally and personally. Ancora Training delivers hands-on, instructor-led, and online training across the U.S.. They offer flexible and affordable CDL programs in partnership with Midlands Technical College. The CDL-A program is offered in weekday (Monday through Thursday, 7 am-5:30 pm for four weeks) or weekend formats (Saturday and Sunday, 7 am-5:30 pm for eight weeks). Graduates will be prepared to test for a Class A Commercial Driver's License. Students are given the opportunity to take the CDL driving test at their local DMV office in the same vehicle they used to complete their training. To be accepted into the program, students are required to obtain and submit a South Carolina CDL Permit, a DOT physical, and a DOT drug screen before class starts. The program has been inspected, approved, and licensed by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles. The program is currently eligible for a QuickJobs Scholarship. Midlands Technical College also offers academic programs that count as academic credit for a certificate, diploma or degree and may transfer toward future academic endeavors at four-year colleges and universities. Training programs can be completed in a matter of weeks or months, are focused on career training, and provide credentials and certificates needed in the specific fields of study.
