About Arizona Automotive Institute
Arizona Automotive Institute (AAI) is a long-established trade school in Glendale, Arizona (Phoenix metro area), founded in October 1968. The school is primarily known for automotive and diesel technician training but has expanded into CDL truck driver training. AAI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) as a branch campus of Miller-Motte College. AAI's CDL Training Program: Class A Tractor Trailer is a 160-hour certificate program completed in approximately 4–8 weeks (1–2 months). The program follows FMCSA ELDT requirements and covers CDL pre-trip inspection, tractor-trailer operation and control, road test preparation, and commercial driving safety and regulations. Students receive hands-on practice at the campus, which has dedicated lab facilities. AAI is notable for its broad funding options: workforce agency grants, veterans benefits (GI Bill), scholarships, vocational rehabilitation programs, and third-party lending through Paramount Capital Group. Important note: CDL Training at AAI is not eligible for Title IV (federal student loan) funding due to program length, which means students must rely on alternative financing. Career placement support for Phoenix-area truck driving jobs is included. The campus is located at 6829 N. 46th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, reachable at (623) 250-4837. The website is aai.edu. Tuition is not publicly disclosed and must be requested directly.
