About Austin Community College (ACC)
Austin Community College (ACC) offers a Commercial Vehicle Operator Training Program through its Continuing Education division, providing Class A CDL certification via a combination of in-classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. The program is administered in partnership with Ancora Education and runs at the ACC Northridge Campus at 11928 Stonehollow Drive, Austin, TX 78758. The program runs 4 to 5 weeks at 40 hours per week (Monday through Thursday, 7am to 5:30pm, with some Fridays), making it an intensive full-time commitment. Tuition is $4,950 with additional fees for books and materials. Students must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or HSE equivalent, and coordinator approval is required before registration. Financial assistance is available. Upon completion, graduates are qualified for Class A CDL certification and can expect median annual earnings of approximately $46,540 with regional demand exceeding 2,100 job openings annually in central Texas.
