About DJH EXPRESS NATIONAL TRAINING ACADEMY
DJH Express National Training Academy, founded in 2020, is a minority-owned 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with a mission to equip formerly incarcerated individuals and veterans with job skills and training in the transportation industry, facilitating their successful reintegration into society. They offer CDL Class A & B training programs with focused instruction and hands-on experience. DJH Express is committed to supporting graduates in securing employment through an extensive network of industry partners and dedicated career placement services. The academy also provides free industry-intro training, CDL prep, and direct job placement assistance. DJH Express provides career path programs to empower youth to explore transportation, warehousing, and construction industries. They also offer apprenticeship programs providing hands-on training and mentorship for individuals entering the transportation industry. The academy works with the Bureau of Prisons to provide driver training and transportation to the local DMV to help students obtain necessary IDs and driver's licenses before training. DJH Express National Training Academy is a registered apprenticeship sponsor located in Dallas, TX. The founders of the Academy started in the transportation industry in 2007 and have built a strong network of industry and community partners. The academy is registered with the FMCSA as an active carrier and broker since April 2022. To enroll, applicants need to create a WorkInTexas profile, schedule a WIOA orientation, attend an intake appointment, complete two online classes, and a 4-hour TABE assessment.
