MTS Training Academy is a vocational training institution with multiple campuses across California, including Vallejo, Sacramento, Stockton, Watsonville, and San Jose. Rooted in service, professionalism, and innovation, the academy offers comprehensive CDL training for careers in the transportation industry. MTS is committed to transforming lives through high-quality training and career development, equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to obtain commercial licenses and secure meaningful employment. They offer training for Class A and Class B licenses, as well as Passenger and School Bus certifications. All training includes Air Brake Endorsement and Behind the Wheel training. MTS Training Academy's dedicated faculty and staff are passionate about student achievement and committed to supporting learners at every stage of their journey. The academy provides focused, short-term training aligned with industry workforce needs. MTS Training Academy has been training drivers since 1996 for local and national trucking companies, tour and transit bus operators, and public/private school bus operators. The Tractor/Trailer Operator course is a 160-hour training course consisting of field and classroom training. This includes DOT safety rules and regulations, state regulations, and proficiency development in the skills required for obtaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL/A). Students attend 40 hours of classroom training covering subjects such as DOT regulations, logbooks, defensive driving, and job search techniques. Field training includes 120 hours of observation and behind-the-wheel time.
