CDL training combines classroom instruction on safety and theory with behind-the-wheel practice on the training range and local roadways. Driving simulator training is also utilized to simulate various real-world driving situations. Students learn to drive in the same type of equipment driven by Stevens Transport drivers and are supervised by experienced professional instructors with years of practical CDL driving experience. With a 4:1 training ratio, students receive the time and attention needed to develop their driving skills. Stevens Transport offers multiple opportunities for professional CDL-A drivers, including entry-level driving positions requiring CDL training. The company-sponsored truck driver training requires no out-of-pocket costs, just a commitment. The journey begins with an extensive 160-hour certified training course for a Class A CDL and completes with a 240-hour, paid behind-the-wheel finishing program.
